It was on a momentous occasion Zaker Party emerged. The birth date was noteworthy and historic as well. On the 12th of Rabi al-awwal, on the holy Eid-e-milad-un Nabi, in 1989, Bishwa Wali Hazrat Shah Sufi Khwaja-baba Faridpuri (q.s.a.) Shaheb launched Zaker Party at Bishwa Zaker Manjil in Faridpur. That Saturday was also the birthday of Bishwa Wali’s own spiritual leader, the renowned Wali-e-Kamel, Hazrat Shah Sufi Khwaja Enayetpuri (q.s.a.) Shaheb.

On that historic night of Zaker Party’s birth, peaceful men, women, youth and children came from all over the country by bus, truck, private car, launch, trawler and other vehicles. All of them, in their excited passion, came together at Zaker Manjil. The prevalent extraordinary atmosphere could only be felt by heart. On that blessed night of divine peace and happiness, Bishwa Wali Hazrat Shah Sufi Khwaja-baba Faridpuri (q.s.a.) Keblajan Shaheb gave an enduring speech on our nation, its progress, prosperity and the sumptuous future of our country, how the eternal beauty of true Islam can enrich world civilization, and on the historic inevitability of Zaker Party’s birth for universal peace and welfare.

In a similar way, on that historic occasion, since the previous day, hundreds of thousands of people had been assembling in Dhaka from all surrounding areas of the capital. In the morning, at different places in Dhaka, there began the processions with colorful festoons, placards, flags and banners. From important points and all over in Dhaka people came in procession to the National Press Club area. Dhaka, in effect, was transformed into a city of processions.

At the end of the night, the inauguration was made by Bishwa Wali Keblajan Shaheb at Bishwa Zaker Manjil in Faridpur. And in the morning, at the National Press Club, Peerjada Alhaj Mustafa Faisal Mujaddedi, announced to the nation and the world the birth of Zaker Party, in a festive ambience, amidst a gathering of hundreds of thousands of peaceful people.
